Faculty of Engineering Welcomes the 2026-27 Academic Term with a Week of Events
Şırnak University Faculty of Engineering will welcome the new academic term with a series of academic and social activities to be held during the week of September 14–18. Under the leadership of Dean Prof. Dr. İdris Kabalcı, the program aims to support students’ academic orientation, strengthen communication between students and faculty members, and introduce the educational, research, and social facilities of the Faculty of Engineering.
The first event will take place on September 15 at 11:00 AM, featuring a presentation by Assist. Prof. Dr. Kenan Donuk, followed by a library tour. On September 16 at 11:00 AM, Assist. Prof. Dr. Yashar Tavakkoli Osgouei will meet with students for a presentation, after which participants will join a walk by the pool. The program will continue on September 17 at 11:00 AM with a presentation by Assist. Prof. Dr. Derya Karakaya, followed by a laboratory and Science Center tour.
The activities will mainly be held at the Faculty of Engineering Seminar Hall. Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to become more familiar with university life, interact with academic staff, and learn more about the Faculty’s laboratories, library services, and scientific facilities. As part of the opening-week activities, three students will also receive book gifts.
The Faculty of Engineering wishes all students a successful, productive, and enjoyable academic year and warmly invites them to participate in the events.
